This week flew by! Once again it’s Friday, so here’s the Week in Review.
We continued revealing cars for Need for Speed The Run. This week the BMW M3 E30 Sport Evolution and the Volkswagen GTI Mk1 were unveiled. The screenshots are gorgeous and you can check them out here!
NFSDrew also released another video for the Insider Series he’s conducting with the development team of The Run. This week he’s chatting about cars with Andy Blackmore, the Lead Vehicle Styling Director.
Team Need for Speed was in France at Paul Ricard for the FIA GT3 race and our BMW Z4 GT3 finished fifth to keep us first in the standings for the Team Championship. This upcoming weekend we’re also in Monroe, WA for Formula Drift, so stay tuned to our Facebook page for pictures and coverage!
The Need for Speed Spokesmodel search continues with a great blog from DJ Miki Taka who was in Norway to see some of the entrants in-person.
Also in Europe, we announced the Summer of Speed is now available to everyone in the EU! Tons of DLC from Need for Speed games is now discount on the PlayStation Store in Europe. For more info, go here.
NFSDrew and NFSCoulter were both in Vancouver this week and tried something different with the Hot Lap challenge. They combined the Track Tips with the Hot Lap (Hot Track Challenge? Hot Tips?) to make it one video. This week they were talking about Autopolis with an Acura NSX.
The Hot Pursuit “Death From Above” Photo Contest received loads of great entries and voting will begin soon!
In Need for Speed World news, the BMW 1 series is now available for SpeedBoost when it was previously just a rental car. NFSDrew also put up another edition of Ask Marc, so take a look at it here.
Lastly, another edition of the Need for Speed Podcast is available. The 89th episode is on iTunes, our RSS feed, and can be streamed from here. Drew was on the road this week, but Greg does a magnificent job taking over as the host. Sort of.
