My little review of the MX5 (update)
So I decided to buy the Mazda MX5..............
Review:
I haven't driven it lots yet but so far here's what I can say about it.
Handling is better than Silvias. IMO. Acceleration isn't as good as Silvias however. Top speed is better. Street Sport Tuned it can do 244 km/h, so not too bad at all.
The car isn't twitchy but it isn't boaty either. I think it's just right. It isn't as understeery as C10, which is 1 of my gripes about that car. This car is neutral, which I like.
It is stable off jumps, no snap oversteer.
Braking is fairly decent...... so above average.....
It looks better than Silvia & C10 IMO though wheels are a little lame.
I've tried crashing it into traffic cars and it actually doesn't slow the mx-5 down a lot, which I consider surprising. Edit: Does fairly well against the cops 2, quite surprising!
Anyways, so far so good!
Hope I helped!
Edit: Did a couple races and TEs today.
First race: Kempton Docks against a guy in a Chevelle (well tuned) forgot what level. Anyways I beat by him just a tiny margin cuz he didn't show on the results screen. Cuz of that, did not take a screenshot.
TE: All In w/ 2 other MX5s and a Zack. Observed that it does fairly well against cops as well as spikes.
Second race: Savannah Street against a well tuned Z4 (around my level). Beat him by a huge margin!
See? Not too bad at all! I this car!
Guess what I won from the race btw? Something not available in store I think..... Lumox Smokeout Black Tint
Pretty Lucky, eh?

Ugh, the Silvia and the C10 look so much better than the MX-5 in my opinion. And I'd take both of them over the Mazda quite honestly. For me, looks goes first when choosing a car.

Re: My little review of the MX5 (update)
A couple of you guys already ran against my C10 and lost. I beat colts 959 @ Verona tunnel and I forgot who's MR2.
I will not lie, I love the c10. Even more so than my BMW M3 GTR.
on topic:
I only ran the mx-5 stock in two races (sp) and I almost got beat by a silvia. I put a few parts on it and it increased immensely, but I would say it's a s15 in a mx-5's body and nothing more.

continder
this car is ok in my books, i just got it.... i personaly liked the way it looked, drove nicely, and felt in controll of it... when i put the stock parts the stats and driving went up alot, which might mean putting pro parts will make this little guy one of the best...

Re: My little review of the MX5 (update)
I'm really considering getting it after buying my Corvette ($300k to go...) but if it comes to garage space, I've got a Scirocco, Cosworth, and Chevelle right now (C-raziness lol) and I am planning to sell the Scirocco, but its got some great parts on it (like some 12% brakes) and they're all providing at least 6% improvement in each stat they affect...
Now I tried the Silvia and Supra, and I must say I didn't like them all that much. But I just used store parts, I didn't invest much in them unless I was highly impressed with them. For now, my Chevelle is my T1 and my Cossie is my T2.

Re: My little review of the MX5 (update)
Update 2: Just a couple more races I did.....
Against IIIKJG's Chevelle. Keep in mind that Peps (in a UberBunny I think) started 19 seconds behind cuz of sync issues, so he would've finished ahead of KJG and behind me.
Lost this time..... Chevelle is still slightly better unless u r on really, really, twisty tracks
Got beaten by the Renault Clio......
Also, I got matched against a Murci, M3 GTR, Daytona Coupe, Subie Hatch, Supra, ISF and Evo-X on Heritage & Campus I think.....
Results: 1st: Murci (well, duh)
2nd: M3 GTR (duh again)
3rd: Daytona Coupe
4th: Subie Hatch
5th: ME (MX-5)
6th: Supra
7th: IS-F
DNF: Evo-X
So the MX-5 isn't too bad at all..... And remember, all those races I did were with a STREET SPORT parted MX-5.
