Need for Speed Week in Review - June 24

It’s Friday, and before you sneak out of the office early, we’ve got the Need for Speed Week in Review to hold you over.

This week Team Need for Speed is at the Nurburgring for the 24 hour endurance race which begins this weekend! To get you in the mood, we posted a video of Tommy Milner taking a lap around the Nordscheife in a BMW Z4 GT3.

Seeing as we’ve also got an assortment of brilliant photographers on-hand at the ‘Ring, we’ll be posting Facebook albums throughout the weekend as well. The first has already gone up here.

In SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED news, NFSDrew threw down another Hot Lap, this time on Tokyo Dockside in a Porsche GT3 RS. If you need guidance, NFSCoulter takes you through a lap breaking down each corner so you can beat Drew in this week’s Track Tips.

The ever-popular Need for Speed World went under maintenance on Tuesday to add the gorgeous and wordy Audi A1 clubsport quattro Speed Edition. The vinyls were dreamed up by Audi themselves who used the Wörthersee region in Austria as inspiration. The car is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, boasting over 500HP!

NFSDrew also posted a new Ask Marc video, making it number 39 in total. This one features a special rapid-fire questions segment.

Need for Speed The Run continues to rack up accolades and awards! This week it was awarded Gaming Excellence’s Best of E3!

Lastly, to wrap-up the week in review, there’s the 80th edition of the Need for Speed Podcast, which is now available on iTunes, and our RSS feed. It’s a full cast, but bittersweet because it is Kirk’s last, and we wish him well and hope he has a blast. (He asked me to freestyle. Not really, but it’s the weekend so go with it!)
