Need for Speed Week in Review - July 1

It’s Friday, and that means another Need for Speed Week in Review!

This week we announced that DLC for the PC is now available for SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED! Not only that, but we’ve made it FREE through Origin. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, go here for instructions. The DLC includes the Legends and [/url=http://www.needforspeed.com/post/shift-2-unleashed-speedhunters-pack-available-now?source=shift2]Speedhunters[/url] packs, giving you some of the best cars from racing’s “Golden Era” as well as 14 newly modified cars from Speedhunters.

As usual, NFSDrew recorded his Hot Lap on Miami Biscayne Blvd. in a Mazda MX-5. NFSCoulter followed up with the Track Tips to help you guys out.

Team Need for Speed had a roller coaster of a weekend at the Nurburgring, you can read all about it here. They’re back again this weekend in Navarra, Spain for Rounds 5 and 6 so pay attention to our Facebook page all weekend for photos!

Also in Team Need for Speed news, Fredric Aasbo and Darren McNamara have announced a European Drift Tour and we got a behind-the-scenes look at Formula Drift New Jersey.

In Need for Speed World this week, our regularly scheduled maintenance window brought the Team Need for Speed BMW Z4 GT3 into the game. It’s a rocket, so if you haven’t tried it out yet, go do it! Not only that, but we also introduced a new game mode to World. Once a day, 15 Treasure Icons will be hidden in different parts of your world. Using your map and mini-radar you can find cash and rep rewards!

There was also the Audi A1 Community Sprint Event which took place.
