Update 2 Out Now
Since the launch of F1 Online: The Game earlier this year we’ve been hard at work listening to your feedback and improving the game.
We're pleased to announce that today sees the launch of Update 2 which is jam packed with small fixes and brand new features; we’ve added new special offers system, changed how corner cutters are treated, added some new buildings and loads more features not to mention...
From now on you’ll notice a new icon in your menu bar inside F1 Online: The Game. Clicking this will open up your Friends List which will allow you to instantly see which of your friends are online and what they are up to. You can add friends by name from the Friends page after logging into the F1 Online: The Game website or alternatively you can send invitations directly to your competitors after any race, from the Race Results table.
Racing together with your friends is easy; simply open up your Friends List, select the friends you want to race with and send them a Group Race invite. You and your friends will be entered straight into a Quick Race event, where you can race as buddies or battle hard to beat one another – it’s up to you!
First up are the new ‘Precision’ A-Class components that you’ll be able to research and build from your Team HQ. You’ll be able to begin manufacturing the new A-Class components from Level 30 which include 1 Engine, 1 Brake, 2 Sidepods, 2 Air Intakes and 1 KERS. The bodywork components feature one power focused and one aero focused variant. These are high performance components that will give you the edge at the top of A-Class.
The Objectives system will also be getting an overhaul in the next update. An entirely new set of objectives have been written with the primary aim of improving pacing and structure, all the way up to Level 30. Objectives will also be called more to the forefront and relevant ones will appear when loading into races and in the race HUD as well.
“Kitamachi Kaido” is a relatively short 4km run confined to the narrow streets and downtown city blocks of the city centre.
“Higashi Kokado” is a long 5km track that starts off in the outskirts of the town centre but then opens out and follows the wide, elevated expressways that cut their way through the docklands and heavy industrial areas.
“Ryokuen Route” is the longest track here and its 5.8km length takes drivers into the Old Town to the west, complete with Imperial palaces and verdant parks.
