What is your controller of choice?

I just bought a wired Microsoft Xbox 360 controller for Windows for a better(smoother) driving experience. It's much better than what I was hoping for. Reaction times are more sudden, and I feel I have better control over my car. I recommend this to those of you who use a keyboard, as you may see improvement. If you use a controller already, please share your device and feedback.

I have a logictech F310 wired controller and a F710 Wireless that I use depending on my mood. PS style.

i was reallly thinking of getting one... i might in future....

Having a controller gives you much more control for sure. I still use my keyboard a lot as well. WHen I started this game I achieved a 227 rank on the leaderboard with just my keyboading skills. Now with all the cheat times its hard to get there, but with out very own NOG leaderboard we can have some fun.

BTW I started posting times on there using my keyboard and no powerups with just middle tiered cars not the top ends ones. Catch me if you can HEHEHE.

Hey, am to lazy to go look but what are the supported controllers for NFSW, i have a saitek i know doesnt work with is game and nether does my logitech momo wheel, sucks how they dont support these controllers i have.

I use a generic Xbox controller spliced in to a USB lead, then mapped to keyboard using Xpadder works well for me, I would use Key like I do in in TOCA 3 but can't set them to how I like in NFSW

I use a Xbox 360 controller myself.

I used to use keyboard. Now, I use a wired Xbox 360 controller. Much more efficient.

This topic was brought up a while back, so I merged the two.

- NFSW and HP2010 I use the keyboard as my choice and most hate how good I am with it.....
- Shift 2, SIMRACEWAY, ACR, etc I use a SRW-S1 steering wheel and love it.
- My Logitech F710 sits in a draw these days unused.

I don't do bad with a keyboard. Just better with a controller, more fluid.

Simulation or not, I really want to get a racing wheel, even for the Grand Theft Auto series. A long time ago, I used a racing wheel for Need for Speed Shift for Xbox 360, as well as for Grand Theft Auto IV. And that was epic!

How would you compare this device versus others, like the Xbox 360 controller? I mean, it strictly supports PC, as that is what it's made for. Does it work any better than the other, more responsive, anything? I'd like to get one someday.

Well I cannot compare it to an XBox controller as I do not like that controller style at all. Never have. I am more of a PS style controller which is why I like the logictech F310/F710. I gave Shadow my F310 and he enjoys it. For the F710 wireless it is very responsive, no lag that I have ever noticed. Very good and solid batter life. The only downfall for me is that the battery chamber makes the controller a bit bulkier and this stains my hand quickly. Having arthritis this can get uncomfortable and for that reason I enjoyed the wired version more since I never had strain. I would not change it since the better outways the worse.

Simply for my Logitech has never disappointed. I have multiple wireless products and never have had an issue with non-responsiveness.

I use a keyboard. Guess im old school lol
