Steam Summer Sale IS ON!!!!

Fear not, PC gamers, the wallet-opening Steam Summer Sale is late, but it is coming. At least it appears that way after the folks at the Open Steamworks Database uncovered a very Steam Summer Sale-looking file. You know, the kind of file with a sexy list of 55 games set to go on sale over an 11-day period (not including a lengthy list of bundles). No kick-off date or pricing just yet, but it's safe to say Valve's money siphoning machine will be activated soon.

The Steam Summer Sale Has Begun


Ah, the Steam Summer Sale. Otherwise known as one of the two times a year people buy PC games for vastly discounted prices in an effort to make their gaming backlogs enormous. Today's highlights include Portal 2 for an absurd $5, Crusader Kings 2 for $10, Total War: Shogun 2 for $7.50, and an indie bundle that contains both Cave Story and Lone Survivor for $10, plus 3 others. Be still, my beating heart.

It seems that Valve isn't doing all the "camp activities" that they've done in previous sale events, instead allowing folks to vote on what sales they'll be getting in the future. Every eight hours, we'll get to vote on what we'd like to see discounted in the Flash Sales that only last for a few hours at a time. Right now, the vote's between getting 66% off of Batman: Arkham City, 75% off Saints Row: The Third, and 60% off The Witcher 2 (my vote). And yes, Arma 2 also gets a nice 20% discount so many people have been waiting for. Oh Steam, how you constantly find new ways to take money from me and still get me to love you.

Yes this is a recommend buy from me. I have it and would love to get a few more on it. Vast open world map of San Francisco that you can explore with you friends, swap cars to a different one you see driving around and some great multiplayer action as well.....
