anyone know of a screen recorder that doesn't suck?

I saw a few of Coltsdude's videos and he said to try Wegame. Apparently it's no longer available to download, and I just tried recording with Hypercam and it SUCKS. Not only did the video play back at about 2.5x speed, but there was a terrible, terrible occurence where it kept glitching pieces of the video... it was horrific. I'll upload it to youtube, but in the meantime, does anyone have something free that doesn't do what Hypercam is doing?

Coltsdude: Do you think Wegame would work if you sent me the files needed for it?

Give bandicam or xfire a shot.

WeGame is no longer in business because the old popular "dating site" tagged.com bought them out and the tagged officials had no idea how in the hell to run wegame and keep it up to date. So within a month of them owning it they shut it down.

Chose Xfire and it's working nicely! Only problem I have with it is the file sizes, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose. I could always throw the video into WMM and make it a lot smaller.

Yeah xfire and fraps tend to do that. I record with fraps since i hate xfire to begin with but fraps gives you a 2-3gb file for 6 minutes lol.

Xfire and Fraps have large file sizes because it saves as a RAW AVI file. This give you the best quality with little video/audio loss. You do need to have a program like Windows Media Maker to compile & compress the RAW video after recording

Made a video of a 9 minute pursuit and the video ended up being 10 minutes and 7.7 GB. It was nice seeing all that data pile up lol.

After saving it with a 8k bit rate and 60 FPS, it's down to 1.1 GB. I still have yet to even edit it... all I'm doing is putting in some music. Fun part: Waiting for it to upload to Youtube and waiting for it to save. Oh well. FAR, FAR better than that PoS video Hypercam gave me...

Lol that's nothing i had a 20 minute video of me from a old game before i configured it better and it was almost 12gigs lmao.

I currently have 200gb of recorded video from different games to edit. XD

Biggest file right now is 32 min video which is 1 file at 85gb right now Razz

SWEET JESUS!!

Well after cutting out 10 minutes of the same picture being shown over and over as well as reducing the quality, its down to about 577 MB (about 13 times smaller than the original file). I uploaded my first video which has 2 Rush songs playing throughout, but I'm considering making a second and third version video with different music and uploading all of them. Thoughts?
