Event help

Okay guys so I was playing Need for Speed today. I noticed that there were only a few events on my minimap, but alot of other guys were able to use events that I don't have... so I'm limited to an event... Is it a glitch? Or is it an update that I haven't heard about? I haven't played Need for Speed for about 3-4 weeks now so some updates have come out but I just need to know.

There are only up to 15 events available per day. It's not yet clear whether the events for that day are picked at random or whether they're being rotated on a calendar basis.

So, if some people you know are racing on tracks that aren't available, they're doing something naughty.

yeah im not really likeing this new race system

"hi welcome to need for speed world where the team at EA have now given u only 15 different races and we have given u class types and for all the players out there love this we have been king enough to make the servers lagg like shit"

I am actually starting to like the 15 race thing now and here's why. In the old system, you had 100+ races available, but you had to guess which ones people were racing on to not have to wait 1:00+ to find one other player that leaves anyway. With the 15 races, you can always find players in all the available races. However, I used to find one race and do it over and over, learning the track very well to beat everyone else; now you can't do that, but it does level the playing field a bit.
