Announcing the Need for Speed World Team Escape Challenge

It's time to start a whole new style of Need for Speed World community challenges! Spot the Devs is fun but we wanted to give the community a challenge where everyone needs to get involved in order to earn a prize so we came up with the Team Escape Community Challenge!

For the Need for Speed World Team Escape Community Challenger we're challenging the community to complete 700,000 team Escape events between Friday, June 15 and Monday, June 18. That's three days to run as many Team Escape events as you can! If the community can completes more than 700,000 TE events, we'll release a universal code for a cool prize that all NFS World players will receive. This isn't part of the Countdown to Summer giveaway, this is a whole separate prize to win!

To give a little perspective on this challenge; on any given weekend the community usually completes just over 500,000 Team Escape events. If everyone who plays World over the weekend completes just four extra TE events than usual it should be enough to break the 700,000 mark. But if you're playing don't stop at four; play as many as you can!

Here are the details for the Team Escape Challenge:

When does the Team Escape Challenge begin / end (challenge period)?
Starts: 9:00am PDT Friday, June 15th
Ends: 11:50pm PDT, Sunday, June 17th

What can I win?
If the community completes more than 700,000 Team Escape events within the challenge period we will release a universal code that will hook all NFS World players up with a cool prize.

How do I participate / enter?
All you need to do to participate is play NFS World during the challenge period and complete as many Team Escape events in need for Speed World as you can.

When will we know if we won?
We will announce the Team Escape Challenge results on Monday, June 18th. If the community is successful we will immediately release the prize.

Are there any restrictions on who can and cannot participate?
We are challenging the entire Need for Speed community which means that the challenge is open to all countries and all languages.

Starting Friday, GET OUT THERE AND START TAKING OUT THOSE COPS IN TEAM ESCAPE!

Yea i said last night i would farm with u from 7 to 8:30.

I'm online all weekend starting today, we got a small break from studies and I've been banging out APB: Reloaded too much so I'll play TE as much as I can.

I'm now under SILVIETTA if you wanna add me and do some TE.

I dont think the number is going to be over 700,000 because alot of players arent active as they use to be, ANd giving away a free boxter spyder is a good thing and all but that isnt going to make some be as active as they was when the game first opened up because "like we ALL know" they dont have the cars ppl want drive/enjoy when they log in. All them cars are getting tooo boring and few cars in the car lot still havent been available in IGC like the RZ mazda rx-7 and the NIssan S14 the've been there for awhile now.

But anyway's if the community make's it or not what do you guy's think the prize would be??

On Friday, June 15th, we challenged the Need for Speed World community to complete more than 700,000 Team Escape events in three days. We pulled the data from the servers this morning and the results were....

The community completed 560,885 Team Escape events!

We did not reach our goal of 700,000 and, unfortunately, that means that we can't give out the prize for the challenge...

We are going to have to run this challenge again in a few weeks and next time we'll give the community regular updates on their progress towards the goal. Thanks to everybody who came out and ran as many events as they could. Next time we're going to have to recruit more players and really rally the community to hit the goal!

I'd participate on the next one "If there is going to be one" just let the nog community know ahead of time so that we'ed know whats up. I missed this one cause i found about it tooo late

Then the NOG needs to plan on this for sure this time. To reduce people getting kicked or booted from the race, lets (8 of us) get into a group and pair off into two's on high stakes making 4 separate completed TE's every time.
I also bet if we have 2 or 3 different groups, that's 12 TE's and everyone have only did one TE.

It was confirmed that if we had actually made the goal the reward was going to be a code for the new SUV.

Just have to wait and see what the 2 year stuff brings for a challenge.

Yea me and kev knew that last night, we were talken about, hope they offer it again when they reopen the challenge.

iam glad we didnt make it to 700,000 cause i dont want no fkn SUV. SO when is the big update going to be for the 2nd year anniversary ??

I would have probaly sold the suv for IGC anyway

But we should atleast pass 650 000 next time

it's like people didn't even make an effort to do TE's
