Speed Fever Tournament

First ever official event hosted by the Lucky 7's crew, Speed Fever puts drivers against each other to try to post the fastest time on specified tracks in NFSW. Anyone can participate as long as they play fair and follow the rules.

The tournament will have 5 rounds, each one lasting 1 week. In each round, drivers will have to post their time and supply a picture to prove it. Best time will get you in first place for that round, and everyone else will fall in line accordingly.

Speed Fever will be hosted (for now) exclusively on the NOG Community for experimental purposes.

Submitting Entries

In each round, drivers will submit their time on the specified track on this thread.

Entries must include driver name and a screenshot of the posted time for confirmation. Screenshots must include the final time, driver name, car used and stats, and power-ups used. You can also post a video, but it must include submitted details.

WARNING! ANY PROOF OF EDITING OR HACKING WILL AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFY YOU AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE REST OF THE TOURNAMENT!

Please, for spam prevention, do not submit multiple entries in the same round. If you get a better time, update the entry you already posted. If you do submit multiple entries in the same round, you will be disqualified. But once the round is over, do not edit your entry (it will not be used so do not bother).

Car

You can use any car you want, but it needs to be stock. If you have parts on your car, you can damage your car until durability is 0% (recommended). I am not responsible for sold performance parts, so do not accuse me of making you do so (you have been warned).

Visual modifications aren't limited (use whatever you want).

Power Ups

You are allowed only one nitrous shot (one use of nitrous) not including Perfect Start. So it is recommended you use it wisely.

Driver Points

At the end of each round, each driver will be scored according to their entry.

Based on entry, drivers can get the following points: 10 - 8 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1. First place receives 10 points, last receives 1 point (and if there are more than 8 drivers, multiple people can tie for last and receive 1 point).

Tournament Standings

If 2 drivers end up with the same amount of points, the driver with the most victories will be claimed winner and have bragging rights until the next tournament.

Though, something has caught my attention. I wouldn't entirely recommend recommending zero durability. I'm not fully sure on this. Other's have before stated that degrading your durability to the minimum will actually cause you to lose the parts, as if they have been destroyed and your car will be downgraded to the complete minimum. Again, I'm not sure if this is true. I recommend that you install generic parts on a temporary cheap car and test this theory before moving forward with this.

the way that works, when durability is 0%, all parts act as if they aren't there, making the car perform as if it has no parts on it. But once you repair the car, the parts "return" and the car performs exactly how it did before the car damaged out. There's no harm in damaging out the car, people do it all the time at no cost to them (except to repair the car). And anyway, that's what'll make this tournament fair. Driver level and car are what make the tournament interesting.

Just a reminder about tomorrow being the first day of the tournament. Be prepared to catch the announcement of the track to be used for the round so you can post your times! And remember: post your time only once, update what you posted if you improved your time, and you can't post your time once the round is over.

yep, that'll do... but is your car completely stock? Entries don't count unless the car is stock.

um, no its not. First off, I have my ways to tell if your car is bone stock or not. And by stock, I mean it handles like it has no parts. Here's proof your Escort isn't stock:
No I don't recommend you sell your parts, but I do recommend you bottom-out your durability (and I can tell you didn't do that). That automatically makes your car perform as if it has no parts on it. When you're done, you can just repair your car and move on with your day

ok it's obvious the tournament is now canceled due to lack of interest from other people. So, I'll just try hosting a car show next (will give further details in the post to be made). Dan, feel free to delete this thread whenever you want
