NFSW Maintinence Window August 24
"Purpose:
The purpose of this maintenance window is to deploy server / a game
patch to Need for Speed World. Please see Release Notes below.
Date:
August 24, 2011
Duration(s):
2 hours
Start: 2pm (14:00) PDT -- 5pm (17:00) EST -- 10pm (22:00) GMT
End: 4pm (16:00) PDT -- 7pm (19:00) EST -- 12am (24:00) GMT
Affected Users:
During the maintenance window, the servers will be offline and
users will not able to log in and play Need for Speed World. Players who
are already logged in and playing NFS World will be disconnected from
the server and therefore, disconnected from the game.
New Features:
- Sport level Performance Parts have been added to the Performance Shop for in-game Cash
- Cash and Rep Amplifiers are now available as a 100% increase for 10 days. (Previously a 25% increase for 7 days.)
NOTE: This change will not affect drivers with existing 25%
Amplifiers, however purchasing a new 100% Amplifier will override any
existing 25% Amplifiers for its 10 day duration.
- The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition has been added to the game, and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer
- The Audi RS 4 has been added to the game and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer
Bug Fixes/Changes:
- Fixed an issue that caused an error to occur when attempting to unlock Vinyl categories
- Traffic AI logic has been changed to reduce the amount of traffic swerving into players
- Fixed an issue that caused the Audi TT RS to become RWD after installing Performance Parts on it
- Some missing Nitrous exhaust effects were added for a number of visual packages on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS
- A missing Vinyl thumbnail image was added for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS
- Fixed an issue that caused the Nitrous effect to render improperly on the Lotus Exige Cup 260s
- Fixed an issue that caused the client to crash after joining an event with the Driver Profile open
- Fixed an issue that caused driver input to become locked after closing the Report Driver window
- Fixed an issue that prevented the Cop radar from working as intended after completing a Treasure Hunt
- Fixed an issue that caused the HUD to disappear after leaving a Meeting Place event
- Missing reverse lights were added for the Audi A1 Clubsport quattro
- Some visual packages on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS with see-through sections were fixed
- Fixed a visible seam on the Porsche Cayman S “Treasure Hunter” while driving in the hood camera view
- Fixed a visible seam on the Audi A1 Clubsport quattro while driving in the hood camera view
- Fixed a visible seam on the Mazda MX5 while driving in the hood camera view
- Fixed an issue in Eagle Drive that caused players to sometimes start with a garbage bin inside of their car
Reminder: we continuously update anti-cheating countermeasures.
Cheating, including the use of third party software programs to alter
the game in any way, are a violation of the TOS and can result in a
suspension or termination of your Origin Account."
More sane traffic, sport parts, and a nice list of other "fixes". Not a bad "patch" in my opinion.

Re: NFSW Maintinence Window August 24
SLR is ugly and the Audi...well...just looks like any other Audi.
Re: NFSW Maintinence Window August 24
hey dan do you notice something in the fixes?
100% cash and rep amps that is interesting.
Because when i was playing beta we were set at 125% and that is some sick exp even for doing nothing and this is only 25% less then that
got an account to lvl 50 in 2 days without trying during beta
Alot of people are going to be lvl 50 now we will be seeing nearly 9k in TE's....
im happy for that. and the audi rs4 is making me drool* just because of their stock bodykits. and for the Mercedes *drools*
they fixed the traffic so it no longer ramms u in races lol
and sport lvl performance all someone needs at lvl 50 with skills
i see this patch as a start now that the run is almost out. we will hopefully see patches like this atleast every 2 weeks and once a week for normal maintenance and adding cars

The problem with the amps is that they are boo$t. But..... I'll bet that they will up the price of amps by at least 100%.
