Forum Rules and Regulations

Hello and welcome to the Night Owls Gaming Community!

The forums are a place for our crew to have productive discussions with each other about the different games and other relevant topics. To make sure this forum is kept up to that task, we ask that you are aware of and follow all of the Rules & Regulations of Conduct when on this forum.

Failure to follow these Rules & Regulations of Conduct will result in your posts being deleted, locked, or removed; serious violations will result in your accoun being deleted and you permenantly banned.

The Terms of Service
When you created your account, you agreed to these terms so it is important that you understand what is expected and what is not allowed.
Although we have included specific Rules & Regulations of Conduct below to help you stick to the Terms of Service, it is important to review the terms and ask questions if you don’t know what something means.

Voice server Rules
- Members only, Age restricted to 16 & up. (I make the final call for under 16 members)
- Password is to be given out by DogManDan or Kypex only
- Please refrain from funny/funky looking characters in TeamSpeak. Your name is all that is needed, unless you maybe away in which case something like Poke Me would be appropriate to add to your name.
- The Voice Server channel is for members only. If at any time the information for the Voice Servers given out to a non member that person will take the risk of being banned from it permanently. This is at Staff discretion based on user actions while in voice server.
- If you are caught being the person giving out the TeamSpeak information you will receive a permenant ban from the voice server until such time as the Staff decide your fate.
- It only takes a few minutes to register at our site and receive access from this feature. So please make sure you do.
- Any Exceptions will be by Staff to make.

Grammar & Structure
- Please make an effort on grammar and spelling.
- All forum posts are in english only.
- Not everyone here understands SMS style wording, so please try to remember this when posting.

Inappropriate Content/Actions/Phishing
- HACKING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
- Insults, personal attacks, accusations, derogatory or defamatory comments, or other abusive or inappropriate content is not acceptable.
- Keep Profanity to a minimum here. Excessive profanity will get you removed permenantly.
- Posting of hack sites containing information for or providing hacks that alter the game more then what is already programmed into it by the developers will not be tolerated at any time. Posting of such material or site links will result in a permanent ban from this site.
- Posting links to sites that contain questionable information, which results in phishing, is not allowed and will be removed immediately. Sites containing information for free or cheap items, cheats or hacks, advertising sites, etc., are considered in this policy. Unless deemed safe and appropriate by an Administrator you are not approved to post these.

On Topic Discussion
- If you want to start a thread, make sure to choose the most relevant forum section for your topic. Not only will posting in the wrong section make your topic harder to find, but it may cause your thread to be moved or removed. If you are replying to a thread, make sure your reply contributes to the topic. Off topic posts not only ruin a good thread but are grounds for post removal.

- Please note that the Off Topic section is available to discuss topics that are not directly related to the game. The section cannot be used for spam, abusing the post count or scoring system, or doing anything that would otherwise violate the rules or Terms of Service.

Spam
- Spamming is not tolerated in the forums. Spamming includes posting the same post multiple times in a forum, repeatedly posting on the same topic in different threads, posting the same post in multiple forums, or posting repeatedly without actually contributing to a topic.

- Numerous frivolous posts, whether on the same boards or different boards, is considered actioned as spam.

Thread Bumping
- Posting messages with irrelevant content for the sole purpose of keeping certain posts near the top is called "bumping". Thread bumping is prohibited in the forums. It causes other posts to scroll off the page faster than they should, and raises forum traffic unnecessarily. Threads will be bumped up naturally if users have reason to contribute to them.
- If you have a question or issue that is not being addressed, make sure you contact a moderator or staff member to assist you.

Personal Information
- Personal information is information that can be used to identify a person or contact him or her either on or off-line. It is a violation of our rules to post personal information that does not belong to you. It’s important to use good judgment and discretion to ensure all participants’ privacy is protected.

- Any personal information you choose to post can be done in you personal profile. It is your choice and we will not be responsible for spamming or inappropriate content sent to you outside this forum.


Advertising
The purpose of the forum is for discussion. As such, it should not be used to advertise, promote, or drive traffic to another site or notify users of a promotion or contest not approved by the Site Admin Staff. If you have relevant news or fan site link that contributes to a discussion, this will not likely be seen as advertising. If you are in doubt, ask.

Post Language
English Only

Alerting Posts/Threads
If you see a post that you think is inappropriate or possibly in violation of the Terms of Service, make sure to use the Alert button. This will send the post to our team who can remove inappropriate posts and action accounts as necessary to keep our community safe and productive for everyone. It is not acceptable to abuse the Alert system.

Multiple Accounts/Personas
Multiple accounts or personas cannot be used to force thread activity or otherwise abuse any of the forum systems. If a second persona or account is used to get around an account action, all related accounts may be actioned. If you have an inquiry about a suspension or ban, make sure to contact Support team to assist you. The Support team will not give you account information about an account that does not belong to you.

Changing a Name or Moving Forum Stats
It is not possible for you to change your persona name, post count, or rating. If you use a different persona, the forum stats for that persona are tracked separately from any of your other personas.

Moderators and Staff
Moderators and staff are volunteers who are passionate about a particular game/s in this community. They will help with moderation by hiding, moving, deleting posts and threads, and keeping general order here. If you have a questions or concern about a moderator, please contact myself "DogManDan" through a PM.

I believe I am in need of reminding everyone of the rules in this forum again. Please read them over again in particular the one below. Thank you.

Also all duplicate accounts recently created are now disabled. Should I catch anyone doing it again say goodbye to the community before you do cause this is my only warning on it. I like to keep track of every member and you are messing with my counts and number. Thank you for your time and attention.
