NEW TRACK RELEASE - Giza, Egypt

Making spectacular use of the world-famous Giza plateau’s intricate network of paths and roadways, this tarmac, gravel, and sand circuit was designed to be enjoyed by rally racers, off-road vehicles, and adventurous road cars.



The 3.9-mile course traces the route of a partially-eroded limestone-paved circuit uncovered by Egyptologists in the 1930s—an ancient track that is believed to have served as the setting for an early form of chariot racing, possibly undertaken to honor dead Pharaohs. Passing between the pyramids of Menkaure and Khafre, the 4,500-year-old Menkaure Causeway represents the circuit’s most scenic leg, but the shifting sands, drifting corners, and testing jumps ensure drivers’ eyes rarely stray from the road ahead! Due to the area’s obvious cultural heritage, real-world events at this track are a rarity.
