Need some help, but in a weird way..

I just got off the phone with my brother and he dropped quite a big bit of news on me. It's good news thankfully, but possibly the biggest thing I've known for... well a long time.

He and 2 other people he works with have decided to set up a sci-fi convention for the East/South East of England. I'm not talking about a little gathering either - its a 4 day event in a huge venue, and whilst he's waiting for a kickstarter loan of around £30,000, he's asked me for ideas for anything sci-fi. TV shows, movies, computer games, comics... and anything else in between.

So, what am I asking? Well one thing, keep this under your hat for now. I know most (if not all) of you reading this are in the US, but things still have a habit of getting out somehow.

The big ask though is for, quite literally, a list of anything you can think of to do with sci-fi. Maybe not actor/character names, but certainly shows and films that you know are popular, or even something that would draw YOU into a convention.

My bro has already mentioned Red Dwarf, and is looking into getting some or all of the cast to come down. Of course there's the big stuff - Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who - but obscure things can be just as attractive since it might have more of a cult following.

I've added a list below but please, if you've any ideas, simply post without looking at this list. It'll give an idea of what is more popular anyway.
