NFS World Maintenance Window – September 18

Purpose:
The purpose of this maintenance window is to deploy server / a game patch to Need for Speed World. Please see Release Notes below.

4 hours
Start: 1pm (13:00) PDT – 4pm (16:00) EDT – 8pm (20:00) UTC
End: 5pm (17:00) PDT – 8pm (20:00) EDT – 12:00pm(00:00) UTC

New Features:
- Oktoberfest has made its return to Need for Speed World
- An all new BMW M3 E30 “Brezeln” edition has been added to the game and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer
- Added icons to the World Map to help distinguish which events are compatible with the player’s car
- A “Show Incompatible Events” filter has been added to the World Map Options drop-down
- Traffic has been removed from Class Restricted events, and reduced for regular events

Bug Fixes/Changes:
- Improved client stability for players with a large amount of cars
- Added the remaining rental duration display for rental cars in the Change Cars and Sell Cars screens
- Clarified an error when attempting to purchase an item with insufficient SpeedBoost
- Fixed an issue which caused the player’s cash balance to not display accordingly in the Performance Shop after selling a part from Card Packs
- Fixed an issue which caused the underside of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento to appear black
- Some minor localization issues were fixed

Traffic has been removed from Class Restricted events, and reduced for regular events

Have been studying about Bavaria in school this quarter and been learning some stuff about Oktobeerfest. JUST SAYIN...

The stuff is usually at the fairgrounds when it is put in the game. Not sure they will put it in until October though....

What is oktober fest anyway?

Go to the fun fair. It's there already - some new decorations are around and there might be new sounds too, although I didn't have my sound up so can't confirm it.

Whilst I know wikipedia can be an unreliable source for info, this is rather accurate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oktoberfest - just remember though, you have access to the internet so could look up other sources for details about it
