Something new to World...

Ok. I'd noticed earlier whilst I was sitting near the noob races that there were an awful lot of Ford GT's, Lamborghini Gallardos and Nissan R35s. Wondering about this, I had a look on the NFSW forums, and found something out.

If you create a brand new account (not just a new driver, a full on new account), your starter car options are ONLY these 3 cars.

So. It seems that this is EA's way of trying to strike the balance for new and old players even further. The funny thing is, new players cannot buy parts for these cars until level 30, so its sit and hope for the best. If you race any newbie tracks and wonder why there's a lot of T3 cars, you now know why.

so does this mean they need a better car to compete with the t4's that "supposedly" are gonna come out soon?!?!?!

cause i'm sure if they kept the tier 1's that your start the game off with most new players wont stay cause people will be getting the t4's???? and these ultra parts... and the mods???!?!?!?!

WHAT THE HELL!! I know the can't tune the cars earlier but couldnt they just purchase some card packs and add it to there cars :facepalm:. THIS IS JUST WHAT CRAP I AM MAD ABOUT, all the other issues like not enough igc content didn't tick me at all, but this.. this is just crossing the line, we start if with some slow cars that are only good when u tune it eg... corolla 86 and the s13, but they get to start off with some "supercars" THAT THEY RECENTLY RE-TUNED, I AM PISSED OFF OF THIS B.S, and you know what, I feel sorry for the players who just got those cars because they can't tune it till level 25!,This is going to bring down the player base, WATCH AND SEE! You guys think this is balanced? Starting off with a tier 3 at level 1 is like feeding a baby pepper sauce instead of milk! Some people work hard just to get those cars now and then they see racers 49 levels below them driving the igc tier 3 that they want to purchase, and you know something else, they didn't even include the tier 1s we started off with, only the tier 3s, I was thinking of getting a Gallardo after the vid KJG posted, but not anymore, i'm gonna race those tier 3s they got and beat them with no mercy, I am had it with this, i'm almost sure its2crazy4you is on the edge to unistalling the game if he hasn't done so already,

I raced JDM earlier and my almost ultra-tuned Porsche GT2 only beat his Supra by 5 seconds. Before this update I'm pretty sure that number would've been far higher. This is certainly no disrespect to JDM because I know full well he's a good driver in the game.

I'm now becoming slightly worried that the definitions between tiers is now becoming even more blurred than it was before. You might be surprised to know I'm actually kinda glad that certain cars no longer have the epic NOS that they once had, because that really was a big disadvantage for those going against said cars. It also means races should be closer, which again, I'm all for. Sure, there's nothing more enjoyable than utterly destroying someone, but its even better being just a few tenths of a second ahead/behind because it just proves the drivers are equally as good as one another.

However..

What I'm angry about is exactly what you mentioned. Someone at Level 1 can now come in and buy boost, buy a great car and then the mods & parts to make it incredible, and be able to beat people who have been in the game for months whilst at level 50. I know its been possible for that to a certain extent before the update, but the person at level 50 would have the advantage of having far higher skill points than the level 1.

As for what you said about racing these low level noobs in their T3 cars.. well I think I might just join you on that quest

yes dax..come to the dark side , just watched some vids of those cars and they have improved, ecspecially the GT-R, i'm gonna get my race tuned nissan 240sx s13 and race those gtrs and beat them, after i'm gonna rub it in their faces! ok kidding bout that but whats the point of having levels in the game now??

The only reason EA has all these players is cuz they have licenses and funds to make the game playable, or else no 1 would be here...

And also keep in mind you are supposed to make a new ACCOUNT not a new DRIVER to get it. Big difference...

This...is bullcrap. I've been stuck at level 16 and Tier 1 since BETA for THIS to happen?

Actually I've been thinking about this scenario and, at least from a bad marketing point of view, is very crafty.

People at mid-level without T3 cars are now seeing brand new players coming in with them. Therefore they have these choices:
* Buy boost to get the cars, mods and parts they'll need to continue to beat the new players
* Start a brand new driver, hauling the player base numbers up to ensure that funding continues to the game
* Continue with original driver, sit and hope that they'll get enough IGC to buy the cars being offered to new players, ensuring that players are continuing to use the game, helping prove that the number of accounts reflects those of the people in game, additionally helping ensure that funding continues to the game

Of course there's option 4 which is just to quit, but then EA/BB would presume you're not going to let the time you've taken in game go to waste, nor any cash you may have spent or are likely to spend, so that option becomes the grim way out.

It's unfair to presume that the newest players now have the best advantage, because as I've stated before, the cars they're now starting with can't be upgraded without boost until around level 20-30, so they're not in a great position. However, the much older players aren't in a great position either because they now have to decide how to pair off their skills to their cars.

The cars are also now seemingly much closer together than before. Yesterday, again as I said prior to this, JDMRACER and I had a quick race, he in a Supra and me in a 911 GT2. He was just 5 seconds behind me. Then later I raced 2 of the others on here, they were both in Ford GTs and me in a VW Golf R32. I was only 10 seconds behind, and from what I understand their cars both had ultra parts on too, just as my 911 GT2 had.

I still don't like this update by any means, but I'm gradually becoming used to it...

Yeah well I reckon my best bet is to start over and grind those races till i get Level 30, then hopefully I'll be able to keep up with you guys for once XD

Sorry to be an outsider guys but i'm entitled to my opinion, this update for me isn't bad at all, the skill mods make the game different and i needed something different in the game, the only thing in this that ticks me is the new players getting t3s, but its a game im not stressing over it.

So Yesterday I took out my R35 Spec V and raced some newbies at Old Quarter all using Ford GTs and I smoked so easily. I did have fun haha.

Racing them in a t3 car isn't revenge. Destroying them in my MR2 in a T1 vs T3 race against then noobs, now that's sweet revenge

The mr2 will esily smoke those cars, for real revenge take one of the worst cars in the game and beat them with it (CHARGER SUPERBEE), yes that will be soo much fun! we should create a club for this
