S13 on Ebay, SWEET!!!!

Hey guys, i was looking at used cars on ebay when i found this 1991 s13, it looks bad A** man, if i had a drivers license, ask 10k for it, that would be insane, i wish i had 10k and be 2 years older.

Looked good till I saw the rust on the bottom....

yea.. the "some rust spots underneath" looks like the left front sub-frame. Questionable but could be fixed.. weld in some new steel and it should be ready to roll. Using as-is could have some major performance/safety issues.

Getting a closer look at the pictures again, I would not buy it. There is some mechanical issues I see which would require some time/money to fix. Being that is it so customized it would be hard to find a shop to work on it. It is definitely not street legal and for a young person I could not imagine the insurance cost that would go with this if it was.

So looking deeper I see what looks like a read differential that has a leak, the rims are slightly damaged, and the engine compartment while it looks good, seems to have some underlying things going on.

Just my opinion but it is not worth the current price at all. If I were to bid I would not go above $4000 max.

Don't want to comment to much but coming from a mechanic/racer/drifter.. I would not recommend that car unless you have either alot of money, a good mechanic, Or want it to sit in your garage and look pretty for the rest of it's days. Once a car begins to rust in the undercarriage not much to do to fix it as it is weakening the main part of the car that holds it together. Also as dog said i can almost guarantee not one dealer or shop will work on the car due to it not being street legal. And even then the parts listed on it are also not cheap if broken or being replaced. In my eyes for bidding the only reason the person is putting the price the way it is is because it looks cool. Any person who has been around racing cars all his life and has a couple would laugh at the person attempting to sell it over 9k. for 18k you can find a way better car.

it is your money though spend it as you wish if i had a thing for cars like that i would buy it to.I also have resources to fix it and trust me my sources and business partners are already telling me they would slap me if i brought them a car like this to them. From my own business imagine that. But your to young to even think in a car like that to be honest. That is a car that has been beating and tortured and already had it's glorious days it should be restored to sit pretty and be used once in awhile not for what i think you want it for

LOL, yea i saw the rust but i thought u would just get all replaced underneath, and i didnt think what dogman said, no one is going to want to mess with it with all that work on it, hey KJG, i will always keep the look out for awesome older cars that are like from The fast and Furious series so mainly JDM cars like 240sx's, skylines, older evo's, etc because am a car freak, may put some other deals on here as i fine them, later

You know, Dogman probably saved me a load of money by noticing that rust. He's so right, once it starts rusting and your low on cash (and bondo [from fixing up my Caravan]) your screwed. The thing turns into a paperweight.

I might stick with my caravan anyway, the things a beast. 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan. Me and my grandfather worked on it so much, almost everything is new on it except the chipping paint.

EDTI: maybe someone here knows this, why the heck does Dodge paint chip? Pisses me off.

My opinions are to really do your research, stop looking on Ebay for a car and start looking locally where you can physically see the car, test drive the car, and take the car to a mechanic to see what you really are in for before you buy a car.

Looking on ebay for a car is dangerous. IMO.

Nice, for a BMW I guess 4k is not much, seems like a pretty clean car. BUT, I love my car so much I wouldn't sell it for all the money in the world. I own a '93 Eagle Talon. Pic related, it's what my car looks like :
