New Generation of Skillquant Introduced

Post by DogManDan on Mon Mar 04, 2013 9:29 am

Simraceway‘s groundbreaking skill quantification and player matching system, Skillquant, has received an important update that will make it even more accurate. Those who keep an eye on their rating will notice that, rather than being represented as a number between 1 and 100 and calculated to two decimal places, it will appear as a whole number between 500 and 1,100. It will also fluctuate a lot more than previously as it collects ever-more detailed data on players’ abilities on the track.

Skillquant is a skill quantification and management engine developed by the people who created Simraceway. It is capable of collecting ultra-detailed, real-time data on a player’s ability.

All players are initially given a default Skillquant score, which will adjust according to the skill levels they exhibit in every race. Their score will take into account a multitude of factors, including:
• How fast they are able to take corners while staying in control of their car.
• The accuracy they show when entering a turn and the smoothness they exhibit while negotiating it.
• Their ability to get to the absolute limits of their car while maintaining complete control.

This allows players to chart their progress over time and also allows them to take on other drivers of similar abilities in order to produce the most exciting and enjoyable races possible.
