Goodbye NFSLING

Hello NFSW friends!

NFSLING:Today is my last day at EA!

It's been a blast getting to know the community this past year and lots of fun coming up with events and contests for everyone to participate in! As of tomorrow, NFS Drew will be the NFSW Community Manager. Many of you already know him as the Community Manager from Need for Speed. He will be continuing on with the weekly features that I started, such as Mega Monday, Wicked Wednesday, Fan Fridays, Tweet It Up Thursdays and Fun Fridays. He may even have a few more surprises up his sleeve!

NFS Ling

She will be missed as she did so much for nfs

OK lets look at this the correct way then shall we! With Ling out (most likely downsized by EA/BB the community manager spot is going back to NFS Drew ho originally had it 2 years ago. THis means a couple things, EA/BB are not doing as well as they would like pretend, there is no new NFS title coming anytime soon since NFSW Drew is not working on a different title, and did I mention they are bleeding out from all ends and need to find a way to bring back players to the game. Oh and this means that The Run will be out of the picture probably as well.

I will miss Ling especially since I had recently been talking with her and she was in the process of sending some codes to use for contests. Well you can assume that we will not have that happen now as Drew has never responded 2 my requests in 2 years and I am not about to go kiss his ass on the WG forums to get anything.

Well I will investigate a little more to hopefully add fire to my review I am writing up about the failing NFSW.

Looks like we all might as well uninstall the game. 'Nuff said.

so rant and rave, nfsw is still in my eyes the best ( but failing ) racing game out there right now ( yes i tried auto club, trackmainia and about 25 other racing game)... i am staying with this game for awile still, looking at the anniversery for nfsw i gues, i still think and hope they will make a comeback with something not seen as of yet.

i am solely 80% a racing game fan...

may all endevors with nfsw be great and may they prosper!

Sake, I understand completely of your point of view. This is the only racing game I am interested in. There is just something about it, the main part being the people here as my friends. They make the game much better. Anyway, even though World is in a dead stage right now, I do see potential in it's future. I mean, we have already confirmed the canyons, at least who saw the video before being removed from public view. The textures of the connectors have been established for as long as I can remember...

Yea i mean, i think NFSW will make a come back when ever they release the canyons and a couple of other things but am only on NFSW because i have a bunch of friends(u guys) that play also and i think if there's any member in NFSW that doesnt have a crew then they will find NFSW very boring, thanks u guys for making NFSW not boring!

I'm sticking with nfsw till the end, what will make the best come back is atleast 1/2 of the content being igc, and not bad content, some good stuff, like maybe putting the Pagani zonda for igc or something like that, more boost content isnt bring players, its pushing them away :facepalm:

Guys, you know i am really excited for Canyons to come out and stuff but I realized that NFSW needs a game changer to keep it alive.

Sure canyons are fun but what will happen after that?

T4s will be super expensive, same hackers and trainer abusers will be here, more boost cars still being added, and nothing really interesting for designing your car except some boost stuff.


Hopefully something big will change it.

Maybe the tri-cities will come out for the 2nd anniversary(yeah sure....)

I would love Tri cities during the night. In NFS undercover it looked so dull and boring. Night time would be perfect for the city.

Yea, we know Tri citys will come at some times and my prediction is that Tri citys, Canyons and those other road, and T4 cars will be out at the 2nd anniversary because marc said back in sept 2011 that canyons will be out by the end of fall, well i think they had the cayons ready then they just didnt release them, so i think they are working on tri citys so they can release them both on the 2nd anniversary, but this is just my opinion...

Tri cities would be nice, when is the 2nd anniversary anyway?

As some of you may know i have never been a real big fan of NFSW and to say the least, im not supprised they get ride of someone the community likes personally been saying for the last year that NFSW was failing and well i like to say i was right but honistly i would just like to see EA go the hell away the new Madden was crap also in fact all the maddens are the same freaking game with the exseption of new rosters. I mean really you could not do that with an update or DLC not like it matters when you play the game u end up drafting random named, random stated players who'm are not real.
To be honest EA is one big bucket of FAIL.

Lets clarify some things. First the game officially went public on July 27,2010. The People who pre-purchased the original starter pack were able to play the game 1 week ahead of the general release.

Next get Tri-Cities out of your head. It is not created. The only known verifiable finished content is Canyons, which has been completed for sometime now. There are the so-called tier 4 cars to be released which will either happen with canyons or at a later date.

When they have the 2nd year anniversary it will include canyons from what I have been told. Anything above that is still unknown.

However with the current game state it will not matter what they release if they do not implement anti-cheat and fix the free roam chat. If these 2 items are not completed for the big update the game will fail fast. It has lost a huge player base and is using the number of registered accounts to call it over 7 million players. I myself have 3 accounts so if you take the total number of players with duplicate accounts - hacker accounts - test accounts - falsely registered by EA accounts it = the true player base (??????). I estimate maybe 250k to 500k worldwide and that is being generous.

Next take into account the downsizing of the employees, which I have been told brings the actually working team to about 11 fulltime positions and you tell me where this game is headed.

Yea well u know what, thats why i have Madden 08, its the last madden for pc and u can put the updated roster on it and put custom playbooks, u can even put the new nike jerseys on it. Its so easy, u just download the files i get from these people on this fourm, download them, and then put it in the madden 08 folders, no hacking or anything it legit, aways, i hope EA can get some better games out and help out on Madden and Need for speed which are great titles
